danko day 11 part 1 (00:31)

0:31 on Day 11

Last time we left off after watching the pantomime, just after midnight. We could get started on the day quest right away, but we're in a bit of a bad shape right now. Time to head back home.

"The streets have this eerie feel to them today. After all the chaos of the past week, it's too calm..."

[missing image]

"Not that it has deterred the criminals. My rifle is starting to break down from fighting off all the robbers."

"After downing some painkillers, I went to sleep. When I woke up a few hours later, I felt really ill. The infection seems to be spreading rather rapidly now."

When you're infected, you will sometimes get a blurry effect, which makes it hard to see. This is especially annoying in the middle of combat, but as long as you keep your infection bar down the effect is minimal. However, right now it's dangerously high and the screen got all messed up. You often get this effect right after sleeping.

"Well, all things considered it could be worse. I'm still alive, and with the recently developed cure for the Sand Plague it won't kill me.

I hope."

"Argh! What's his problem? I had to run straight for the Cathedral just to stay alive."

If you're too infected, the Sanitary unit soldiers will start to notice you looking a bit plagued and will open fire on you if you get close to them. Took me completely by surprise, as you can see from the screenshot.

Aglaja Lilich: I have studied the drawing of the tower. It's an extremely suspicious construction. It's not exactly a building, but more like a machine. There is one thing I cannot understand, and that is how it was put up. By it's own nature, it cannot be fixed in one place. It works as a sort of gyroscope to keep itself standing.
Bachelor: You found out all the details already?
Aglaja: The blueprints are quite detailed. What's your opinions about it?
Bachelor: I almost feel envious. The founder of this tower made an attempt to break open the places man has no access to. But unlike me, he clearly succeeded.
Aglaja: I feel that if we just uncover it's secrets, we can find the reason for the epidemic. I do not like the way something so absurd can stand still on the firm ground. I want to know how they managed to establish this. When you received the blueprints yesterday, did you speak to the architect about his creation?
Bachelor: Yes, briefly.
Aglaja: Go to him and force him to explain his construction methods to us. Use any means you have to.
Bachelor: To torment is your job, Inquisitor.
Aglaja: Not this time, Bachelor! Don't question me.
Bachelor: Well, I shall do as you request. Isn't anyone safe from your plans?
Aglaja: Not even the Pope of Rome! Who it is is insignificant, I need the facts. Something I can show to the General. The drawings of the tower base are missing. You need to get hold of them right away.
Bachelor: I'm not so sure you'll find anything connected to the plague in some blueprints, though.
Aglaja: I cannot be completely sure my suspicions are correct until I have my hands on the drawings, but this is certainly not something that we can just ignore.
Bachelor: Fine. I'll try to find our dear architect.

Summary: Not much time left! Aglaja seems very sure the secret of the Sand Plague, the Kain family and the whole town is deeply connected to the construction of the tower.
Next time we'll talk to the architect brothers and see what comes from that.
