The Agents Riddle

Use the information below to identify the three different agents.

One is always lying. One is always telling the truth. One will sometimes lie and sometimes tell the truth.

The agents are identified by the areas they work in.

The Stone Yard is the well maintained area to the west, where the Kain family lives. The Knots is the middle-class area in the middle of town, where the Olgimskiy family lives. The Land is the poor area to the east, where the Saburov family lives.

See if you can figure it out before you read the next update. If you want to have a guess, feel free to post a spoilered answer. It's not that hard.





The Knots: What do you want?

Bachelor: I know that one of you is fair, another is telling lies and the third is somewhere in between. Which one are you? A fair servant, or a liar?

The Knots: Certainly, I'm all fair! Did you expect another answer?

Bachelor: Who worked in the Stone Yard?

The Knots: The hesitant one. You can't rely on his information, but some of it might be correct.

Bachelor: And who worked in the Land?

The Knots: He is the traitor and the liar! Don't trust him.





The Land: You again, Bachelor?

Bachelor: I know there is a traitor among you.

The Land: That is true. How did you find out?

Bachelor: Tell me about the man working in the Stone Yard.

The Land: He's the one supporting the real traitor. His data is partly true and partly false.

Bachelor: Who worked in the Knots?

The Land: The fair observer.

Bachelor: If he was fair, then what are you?

The Land: Everyone has the right to make mistakes.

Bachelor: What is that supposed to mean?





The Stone Yard: What do you want, my dear Bachelor?

Bachelor: I know that only one of you is telling me the truth.

The Stone Yard: Yes, but how will it help you?

Bachelor: Who are you?

The Stone Yard: Certainly, I am a fair and just agent.

Bachelor: Who worked in the Knots?

The Stone Yard: It's the traitorous man, the liar!

Bachelor: Who worked in the Land, then?

The Stone Yard: That's the man who hesitates, and gave you some false information and some correct.
