danko day 11 part 9 (16:00)

16:00 on Day 11

A quick recap due to the break...

The factions of the town are breaking apart, and are trying to drag each other down with them. The Inquisitor is suspecting her sister Maria is behind it all and that she is desperately trying to control the town with her strange powers.

Maria's little brother Khan is afraid she'll do a lot of terrible things, and wants us to figure out a way to stop her. He pointed us toward Young Vlad, who seemed to have quite a past with Maria.

It's strange that even the Kains are in conflict. When I first heard of them they sounded like a solid family, working together to achieve great things. Now the most sensible one in the family is the youngest one...

Young Vlad still lives in this shackle. Although I haven't seen any of those Worm creatures around for a long while now there are all sorts of criminals around and it's risky to live alone like this.

This guy must have been, ehm... lucky with his work today.

: If only I knew earlier all that I have learned now...

Bachelor: Do you know what happened at the waste ground yesterday?

Young Vlad: Yes, of course! It was awful. Burakh is beside himself.

Bachelor: What about the Kains? Were they involved in it?

Young Vlad: Wait a minute... No, that is very unlikely. The Kains are within a hair's breadth of destruction. I think all this was arranged to display their weakness and turn people against them. Who gave you that idea? I don't think you've reached it by pure logic.

Bachelor: The Inquisitor thinks that Maria was behind it all.

Young Vlad: Bah! Maria is innocent. In fact, she is now our only hope. She is the only one who has enough courage to finish building what we started. The cowards and the weak want reliability, comfort and a safe tomorrow. They also want her death.

Bachelor: Is it the Order that wants to kill her? I don't think they'll agree with Maria's ideas, but that's going too far.

Young Vlad: The Order doesn't matter anymore. I can already see that Burakh could not win. He lost everything. I was foolish to rely on him. Now I shall serve the one who will construct a new miracle instead of the one we lost forever.

Bachelor: You're starting to sound like your father...

Young Vlad: There's no much love between me and my father. Well, I never wanted to continue his business, but he is still my father... But everything my family worked so far for doesn't matter anymore. Sister was right when he said this was beyond our control.

Bachelor: So you're certain Maria didn't take part in all this?

Young Vlad: I am sure. Even if she did, what of it? Would it have changed anything?

Summary: Young Vlad is defending Maria, but we can't be 100% it's because she's innocent. I guess this lead didn't actually go anywhere. It seems like the whole Olgimskiy family is acting weird too.

We've talked to everyone who might have some clue about what Maria is up to. Maybe there's someone we haven't considered yet?
