Before we head out, let's take some time to go over the basic
layout of the town:
It can roughly be divided into three parts, each separated by a river. You can easily cross between them by using the small bridges shown on the map. In general, the richer and people live in the western part. The houses there are more elaborate, the streets are wider and there are more parks. In the middle you can find the town hall surrounded by middle-class houses. Nearby is the raidway and warehouses. As you cross the second river to the east, the buildings shrinks considerably and mainly houses workers for the meat industry located nearby. You can also find some other factories here as well as the graveyard.
If a building is marked red, it mean there is an important character living there. These are in general safe places. We've already met Eva Yahn. Her house is located in the west part of town, and it's the one furthest down.
If a building is marked with a lighter (almost pink) colour it indicates a shop. There are a few types, including food, clothes and medicine. Generally they have a limited supply but we'll be visiting them if we have some spare cash. All shops have signs outside them so you can find them easily while just walking around.
Normal buildings that are marked with gray are either uninhabited or just populated by random people who lives there. For now we can just ignore all these, but they will become important later.
Fully drawn lines around or between houses indicates impassable fences, walls or similar. You can see it better if you check a zoomed in map. Stairs and gaps are marked in a similar way, so if you consult your map before you head off somewhere you can usually find a pretty quick route there.
The very large and stylized structures to the far left and right of the map will be explained later. They play a major role later on but for now they are something of a mystery.
Any time you take on a quest, or complete a step of one already in progress, you will have your map marked. Important main quests are marked in red, and optional quests and events are marked in yellow. The map is cleaned up each new day, so it never gets too cluttered.
While playing, it is very important that you check your map often, to prevent getting lost and having to take detours. This is especially important if you have many quests to keep track off at the same time. I will post maps as thumbnails when one is needed. If you want to, you can try to track our progress and connect the screenshots with the map locations.

"This is a little vague, but I remember someone mentioning in the first LP of this that you could look at the back of the map and something new appears each day. Am I remembering this right?"
ReplyDelete"It's not each day. There are certain events that triggers it, and it pretty much only becomes interesting during the last few days. I can screenshot the current one, but it won't change for some time."
