09:06 on Day 11

"After reassuring the poor girl that everything would be all right with Andrei, I quickly went outside."

"There was a strange calm in the air, and it seemed to me like the day had decided to give me a short break in all the chaos."

"The strange monuments of the architects still stand, untouched by all the destruction around them. I find it somewhat odd that the military hasn't used them as lookout posts or something. Maybe they are as scared of climbing those unearthly stairs as I am."

"Strange. There are a lot of children gathered in the town hall. The soldiers seemed to not know what to do with them. Well, I don't have time for them either right now, but I guess I should ask about it later."

General Block: So, what do you want?
Bachelor: Did you give the order to execute the architect Andrei Stamatin?
General Block: That's the first time I've heard the name. I certainly did not give such an order. Tell me more, in detail.
Bachelor: I was informed that your soldiers took the architect Andrei Stamatin away to shoot him. You can't have him executed!
General Block: All orders here are given my me, and me alone. I did not order anything like that. If one of the soldiers claims so, he'll be in trouble. I shall investigate this immediately.
Bachelor: He was taken to the railway. Call for some reinforcements to release him right away!
General Block: I was just near the train station, to inspect the artillery. It is guarded by company 8. However... I had a feeling they were acting a bit strange. So, you think those soldiers have taken your friend away?
Bachelor: Yes.
General Block: Where did you find this information?
Bachelor: There were several witnesses to the arrest, in the pub.
General Block: Well, I shall call for the company commander and he will report the situation to me. If your friend was caught red handed for something, he will be taken to me. If one of my men has acted out of line, we'll have him detained for questioning.
Bachelor: By then it would be too late!
General Block: I regret that, but I can't just arrest an entire company! The situation is quite strained as it is. You'll just have to wait. If you can't stand waiting, go there yourself. Tell captain Longin that I have ordered him to stop this amateur performance and that he must wait for my arrival before doing anything.

Summary: The General isn't much help to us, but at least now we know who to talk to. Let's hurry to the train station and take matters into our own hands. Like always.
