"Stepping out the front doors of the city hall, I notice that the air just around the building is strangely crisp and clear compared to the rest of the city. But I cannot linger here, I must prepare and head for the train yard."

"I don't have a map of the city for today. I'm lucky to have so much money, so buying an updated one won't be a problem. Young Vlad lives just nearby."

Young Vlad: If only I knew earlier all that I have learned these past few days...
Bachelor: Vlad, I need a new map.
Young Vlad: One thousand, just like usual. I will use the money to save whoever I can, but... There's hardly any safe places left in the city.
Bachelor: Here is the money.

"This is really bad. Everywhere in town there's trouble of some sort. But it seems like the Sand Dirt is keeping to the inside of the town. The cemetery and train yard seems to be safe."

"I hear some commotion from further south."

"There are a lot of soldiers watching the tracks. I can just barely make out a train car far off, but the dust of the steppe makes it hard to see clearly. That must be where Andrei is held. I need to speak to him right away. I don't want to get into an argument with the soldiers, so I'll sneak around the side."

"Hmm, it seems like their leader is the man standing in front of the door. I guess I must talk to him to sort this mess out."
Patrol Guard: Aha! Here is mister architect. So you came by your own will? Why venture so far without an escort?
Bachelor: I'm not an architect. I'm a bachelor of medicine.
Patrol Guard: Bachelor, architect, what's the difference! I won't be bothered by all the details anyway. Tell me, were you the one who shot my men yesterday? Now we shall shoot you instead. If you believe in God, you better start praying now.
Bachelor: You take me for another man!
Patrol Guard: Come on, hands on your head. Face to the wall! I'm sure you have some guns hidden on you. Quickly!
Bachelor: This is absurd! I'm not the one you want to shoot!
Patrol Guard: Who are you to decide that? We'd love to shoot you, whoever you are. So far today, over thirty people have tried to pass this way, fleeing the chaos in the city. Only two of them paid off, but that's enough! The payoff here is the only thing that matters. Panacea for the Sand Plague! Maybe we'll find some in your pockets too?
Bachelor: Murderer! You don't deserve to have that cure.

"My head is all blurry. That awful soldier hit me right over the head! Where am I? It's the cemetery. They must have left me for dead here. All my possessions are gone, except for my clothes... Wait, what's that sound?"
"Poor creatures. Driven mad by their hunger, they have to scour the newly dug graves for scraps of human flesh. But they were weak with starvation."

Summary: We went to rescue Andrei, but it seems he never reached the train station. The leader there acted like he wasn't expecting him either.
When we refused to hand over a panacea to them, we were knocked down and dumped in the cemetery, stripped of all items and seriously wounded.
