Here is one of the real life guns we theorize that it's based off of.
It's going to be your very best friend.
Here is some Goon Discussion on what kind of gun it may be:
GOON 1: I have to say I think the model of revolver you end up with is oddly fitting--the grooved cylinder means it's a Webley-Fosbury, one of the most obscure pistols out there. It's a bizarre choice for a bizarre game.
GOON 2: It most is certainly a Webley-Fosbury. It both looks and acts like one. As far as I can tell, they were in use briefly by parts of the British army during the first world war and was in circulation for some time afterward (used in shooting competitions, for example), which would place Pathologic somewhere around 1930ish? Maybe a bit earlier. Sounds about right. I very much doubt they were in use by the Russian army at any point, but since Pathologic never actually states that we are in Russia...
GOON 1: They were never issued officially to any army, but British officers were expected to furnish their own sidearms, so some chose the Webley-Fosbury. It's an oddity in that it was a brand-new revolver design created at a time when the firearms world was going crazy over semiautomatics, which had the advantages of being quicker to reload and holding more ammunition, so it was never a widespread model. Are there other firearms that can be acquired later on? It would be interesting if they continue to give you oddball gun designs...
